Akéréle Tósìn Ṣínà

Born 14th July 1986, Akerele Tosin hails from Ondo state. He was born in Ikare-Akoko, and is married with a son. He fluently speaks Yorùbá, English and Nigerian Pidgin.

Akerele Tosin learns and teaches Linguistics and African Language at Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Nigeria (FUNAI). His research biases centre on Corpus Linguistics (specifically Corpus Based Syntax and Semantics), Translation and Teaching Yorùbá as a Foreign Language. He flirts with poetry and drama. He loves Yorùbá traditional music, particularly genres such as Àpàlà, Sákárà and Fújì, and has played the Yorùbá Talking-Drum professionally for more than twenty years.
